Technical accomplishment also lies at the heart of the watch, with the Big Bang Unico Full Magic Gold being driven by the UNICO 2 manufacture movement (HUB 1280).
By developing its own automatic chronograph movement, Hublot wanted it to be – like all of its creations – the first, different and unique. As the soul of the watch, this movement with an “open heart” reveals its completely re-imagined design, with double coupling system and column-wheel from the dial side as well as a 72-hour power reserve. Its construction of 354 components has been simplified as much as possible to improve reliability and robustness.
Scratch-proof gold had never existed before, so Hublot invented it.
